GUIDE · UPDATED JULY 2026
By the Impromatrix consulting team – Odoo since 2020, ERP since 2011
The software price is the smallest part of ERP cost – but it's the part you can cut to zero. Here's what each edition actually costs a company in 2026, category by category, and when each one is the right call.
Implementation and support cost roughly the same for both editions – you pay for consultants' time either way. The licence line is the structural difference: it scales with every user you add, forever. Figures are indicative list prices; verify current pricing at odoo.com/pricing.
Odoo Enterprise is licensed per user per month – Western-Europe list price between 29.90 € and 37.40 € per user per month depending on plan – plus hosting on Odoo.sh or your own infrastructure. For a 20-user company that's 7,200–9,000 € per year in licences before anyone has configured a single workflow.
The software is – it's open source under LGPL, with no per-user fees at any scale. You still pay for hosting (typically 50–150 €/month for an SME on a cloud VPS), implementation and support. Those categories exist on Enterprise too; Community simply deletes the licence line.
Enterprise-only modules: Studio, some accounting localisations, hosted one-click upgrades, and a handful of advanced apps. Most have mature open-source equivalents from the OCA (Odoo Community Association) – full accounting, reporting, e-sign, helpdesk. The honest answer depends on your module list, which is exactly what a conversion audit produces.
When its modules deliver a return that justifies the fees – a localisation you legally need, Studio in the hands of a capable ops team, or upgrade tooling you'd otherwise pay consultants for. We implement both editions; the recommendation should come out of your numbers, not the vendor's price list.
Yes – it's a well-trodden path: audit, replace Enterprise modules with OCA equivalents, convert the database on a copy, cut over in a planned window. A typical SME conversion takes 2–6 weeks. How the conversion works →
